APITI was founded on Monday 18 June 2007 in Jakarta by several Indonesian telecommunication service providers and network providers, which focus on developing public Internet telephony infrastructure such as (1) technology adaptation (2) application development (3) partnership relation between members to standardize product and service quality based on national and international standard body (4) open communication relation, both national and international, internal or external, consolidation context or strategic (5) internet telephony traffic clearinghouse (6) organization management on membership (7) professional financial management on non profit organization, able to contribute the best service for national and international internet telephony users’ satisfaction.

Asia-Pacific Initiatives (apiti)

Besides objective, mission and vision stated above, APITI prepares International partnership called Asia-Pacific Internet Telephony Initiatives (apiti) with the same 7 (seven) objectives as stated above, in each country. For the operation it can be a form of conference, forum or exhibition to show the development of Internet Telephony industry in the region to public, this initiative is called “SUPERNET”.

Legal Entity

APITI is a non-profit organization in form on association - Incorporation Article No. 4 dated 19 September 2007, by Notary EMILLIA, S.H. in Jakarta [JK], Indonesia [ID] – and it is a legal entity according to Republic of Indonesia’s Law, based on Approval Letter from Legal and Human Right Ministry No AHU-23.AH.01.06, year 2008 on 5 March 2008 in Jakarta.
